How to uninstall Apipost on Windows
This guide covers the official Apipost 8.2.7 x64 user NSIS Windows installer. Exit Apipost before uninstalling.
Back up settings and data first
Copy %APPDATA%\Apipost after quitting if you want to keep settings and local API project data. Check the copy before removing the original.
Uninstall the app
Uninstall Apipost from Windows Settings. The measured program folder was %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Apipost.
Check the result
Test-Path "$env:LOCALAPPDATA\Programs\Apipost"
Test-Path "$env:LOCALAPPDATA\Apipost-updater"
Test-Path "$env:APPDATA\Apipost"
Test-Path "$env:APPDATA\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Apipost.lnk"
All four checks returned False in this batch. An unchecked data row can remain; a query error does not prove absence.
What Mole lists
The application, its updater, four cache folders, two shortcuts and usage records are selected by default. %APPDATA%\Apipost is an unchecked ordinary Review row. Leave it unchecked to keep local settings and projects.
What this test covered
Tested on October 6, 2026, in a Windows 11 ARM64 VM with a Mole development build. This batch selected the ordinary data Review row. Ten outcomes were four Removed and six Missing. The exact registration, all nine unique review paths and successful ordinary and SYSTEM process inventories independently showed no owned application, and the valid residue diff was empty. The first launch showed vendor sample APIs; no account was connected and no request was sent. Real API projects, data recovery, external uninstall and the released Mole package were not tested.
