How to uninstall Amazon Games on Windows

Save any launcher settings or local game data you want to keep before removing Amazon Games. This check covered Amazon Games 3.0.9782.3, installed per user through elevated winget; installed games and account recovery were not tested.

Remove Amazon Games

Quit Amazon Games and confirm Amazon Games.exe, Amazon Games Services.exe and Amazon Games UI.exe have closed in Task Manager. Use Settings › Apps › Installed apps › Amazon Games › Uninstall. The registered uninstaller asked to continue, then showed a success page with Close. Its temporary self-copy remained running until Close was pressed.

winget uninstall --id Amazon.Games --exact delegates to the vendor uninstaller. This check used the registered command through Mole, not a separate winget removal.

Keep the shared @amzn namespace and Amazon publisher parents. The machine-wide HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\amazon-games protocol survived; it was not offered for deletion. Do not treat this result as removal of every machine registration or installed game.

A returned process or app row means it remains. Each completed Test-Path returns True for a surviving path and False for an absent path; an error leaves that check unresolved. All four paths and the exact uninstall registration were absent after the fixed retake.

What Mole lists

The table above accounts for eight rows; usage records are a ninth selected row. The three review rows start unchecked. This test explicitly selected application data, and all nine outcomes were Removed or Missing. Files are recycled and selected registry keys are backed up before removal. Another installed copy keeps the exact measured player profile.

What this test covered

Tested on October 5, 2026, in a Windows 11 ARM64 VM with a Mole development build. The retest removed the product-specific player data while retaining shared parents and the machine link registration. Sign-in, game downloads, real game-data recovery, external uninstall and the released package were not verified.
