How to uninstall 360 Zip (Chinese edition) on Windows
Keep your archives and extracted files before removing 360's compression app. This guide covers the Chinese 360压缩 4.0.0.1680 official installer, installed machine-wide. The 360.360Zip winget package identifies the international 360 Zip edition, so do not use that ID as proof that the tested Chinese edition is gone.
Choose uninstall rather than reinstall
Close the app, then use Settings › Apps › Installed apps › 360压缩 › Uninstall. In the tested wizard, the initial choice was reinstall the latest version; switch to the direct-uninstall option before continuing. If it reports the background LiveUpdate360 component, confirm closing it and finish the wizard. A browser page opening at the end is the vendor's completion page.
The tested uninstaller returned an error without uninstalling when given /S, so use its visible removal flow. Microsoft documents the Windows uninstall entry point; the reinstall default and background-process prompt were observed in testing.
Review only this app's data
| Observed location | What to do |
|---|---|
%ProgramFiles(x86)%\360\360zip |
Let the uninstaller remove the program |
%APPDATA%\360zip |
Review retained app data; keep settings you want for reinstalling |
| Your archive and extraction folders | Keep your documents and compressed files |
The installer also brought in 360 security components, including shared 360safe data and active-defense services. They are not owned exclusively by this compression-app entry. Do not delete the 360 parent or remove a shared service to finish this uninstall; review separately installed security products on their own.
Check the result
Get-Process 360zip -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue
Test-Path "${env:ProgramFiles(x86)}\360\360zip"
Test-Path "$env:APPDATA\360zip"
No process output means the executable named 360zip is not running. True means the specific directory exists and False means it is absent; inspect a surviving program folder, and keep data if you still need its settings. A command error leaves the check unresolved. Also confirm the Chinese app entry is gone from Installed apps, since this test does not use the international winget ID to verify removal.
The difference between shared components and an app's own data is also covered in what apps leave after uninstall.
What Mole lists
The program folder, public desktop and Start Menu shortcuts and usage records are selected by default. %APPDATA%\360zip is listed but not selected. Shared 360 security components are not listed as this compression app's removable data.
What this test covered
Tested on September 29, 2026 with the official Chinese 360压缩 4.0.0.1680 installer, machine-wide scope, on an ARM64 VM. Every listed review item was selected and was removed or already absent after the vendor wizard. The updater task disappeared; shared security components were retained, with a service marked for deletion after restart. Existing archives, extraction settings and post-restart security-component behavior were not verified.
