How to uninstall 360 Secure Browser on Windows
Back up wanted bookmarks, passwords and browser profiles before uninstalling 360 Secure Browser. In the tested version, leaving the personal-data deletion box unchecked did not preserve the browser data, so do not rely on that option as a backup. This guide covers the Chinese 16.1.2000.64 per-user installer, not 360 Extreme Browser or 360 AI Browser.
Complete the removal wizard
Close browser windows and check Task Manager for 360se.exe. Use Settings › Apps › Installed apps › 360 Secure Browser › Uninstall. In the tested wizard, choose the uninstall option rather than feedback, then the small continue-uninstall link rather than the prominent keep-data-and-continue-using button. The option to delete local personal configuration was unchecked in this run, but the browser data was still deleted.
The tested uninstaller asked for administrator access; refusing the prompt cancelled removal. Microsoft documents the Windows uninstall entry point; the wizard choices and data outcome above were observed locally.
Check the app's own folders
| Observed location | What to do |
|---|---|
%APPDATA%\360se6\Application |
Program files; keep the uninstaller until its work finishes |
%APPDATA%\360se6 |
Back up browser profiles before removal; do not assume its contents survive the wizard |
%APPDATA%\360huabao |
Belongs to the separately bundled wallpaper component, not this browser entry |
Downloaded files in your chosen folders are your files. Uninstalling this browser does not uninstall every 360 product or delete a 360 account; handle any separate component and subscription separately.
Check the result
Get-Process 360se, sesvc -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue
winget list --id 360.360SE --exact
Test-Path "$env:APPDATA\360se6\Application"
Test-Path "$env:APPDATA\360se6"
Get-Service 360bpsvc -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue
No process output means those executable names are not running, and no winget match means the matching installation record is gone. True means the specific path remains and False means it is absent; open any remaining folder before deciding what it contains. A service row means it remains registered, even if stopped. A command error is not proof of removal.
If installed through winget
winget uninstall --id 360.360SE --exact invokes the registered uninstaller; it does not override the vendor's data handling. The recorded test used the official installer rather than a completed winget download.
What Mole lists
The program folder, shortcuts, usage records and startup value still pointing at the app are selected by default. App-owned file and COM registrations are selected only when they still point at the removed program. Browser profile data requires an individual choice and is never bulk-selected, but this does not control what the vendor uninstaller deletes. The separately bundled 360huabao folder is not listed under this browser.
What this test covered
Tested on September 29, 2026 with the official 360 Secure Browser 16.1.2000.64 installer, per-user scope, on an ARM64 VM. Every listed review item was selected and removed or already absent after vendor removal. The vendor deleted browser data even though its deletion option was unchecked. Real bookmarks, passwords, account sync and a separate vendor-only removal were not verified.
